Art: think you can't afford it? For just £1 (£2 now), you can now
buy an original piece of art from a vending machine.
Artist John Hayward found an old vending machine in a
skip in 1995 and set about starting up a unique way of
taking original artwork to the people. That was in Bristol,
but now his Hayvend machines have hit London. The idea was
to find a unique way of promoting and distributing artists
work and allow average people to own unique pieces of art.
Save your pennies and head to the
ICA, or
Islington Arts Factory and become a collector.
